Sam Kulas

Looking to talk Japanese whiskey? Sam is your afficionado. That's not to say she can't speak to every other spirit as well; she's virtually a distillery encyclopedia. Hailing from well-known Dallas establishments such as AKAI, The Mansion, and Wolfgang Puck's 560 her can-do attitude and hospitality are second to none. When Sam's not behind the stick she's obsessing over cats and catching rare Pokemon.

Thomas Holbert

Meet Thomas, owner of Vine & Moonshine. When he's not mixing cocktails you can find him sipping frozen daiquiris while researching historical cocktail books - check out his website - Bartender Books.  With a passion for the culinary craft, it's no wonder Thomas is highly sought after in podcasts and virtual cocktail classes.

Jeremiah Maldonado

A man of many talents, you can find Jeremiah peddling beef at our favorite Oak Cliff meat market, photographing (and taste testing) cocktails, or planning his next great charitable move. But the things you'll remember most about Jeremiah are his genuine interest in the human experience, his extraordinary sense of humor, and a very contagious laugh!

COMPLIMENTARY CONSULTATION

Consultations can be completed in person, over the phone, via email, or through carrier pigeon. Consultations last as few as 5 or 10 minutes or as long as an hour depending on the size and style of your event. For a fee, more specific and extensive consultations can be executed at the lab with hands-on (or tastebuds-on) tastings.  Within about 24 hours after your consultation you can expect an outlined invoice with price estimates for ingredients and services.
What should I expect during my consultation?
Be prepared to answer a few questions about your special event but don't worry too much about exact numbers if you aren't sure. The consultation is a chance for Betty Cocktail event enthusiasts to get a better idea about you, your guests, and what will elevate your event!
Some things to think about:
  • Who are your guests? Is there a guest of honor?  How many guests will you have? What do all of your guests have in common?
  • What kind of services are you most interested in: craft cocktail tutorials or enthusiastic, educated bartenders? Would you like to develop a signature cocktail? Is there a theme for your event? What time of year will your event occur? Is this a customer appreciation event, a birthday or anniversary, or a holiday celebration?
  • Where will the event take place? Are there kitchen facilities? How much space (dry/cold/frozen) is available for storage? Is there an ice machine on site? Will the host provide glassware, or does it need to be rented?
  • When will your event begin and end? Would you like to have a strictly timed and organized two hour tutorial; or do your guests like to dance into the wee hours of the night?
