Read the introduction to see how it all started.

Tiffany Powell, Boulevardier

Picture
When Tiffany isn't at Boulevardier, you can find her event planning at House of Dirt Venue.
Where are you from?
I am from the area – DFW. No, Sachse. My parents still live in Sachse and I kind of grew up between Richardson and Sachse. I’m really from Garland and I never tell anybody that.
But really, where are you from?
From Garland. But I lived in Sachse and Garland and Richardson, but I went to Garland High School – there wasn’t a Sachse High School yet.

What cocktail are you making today?
I didn’t’ really think about it. So can we skip that and get back to it? Or, well, it’s a martini.
Who makes the best bar guest?
Hmmmm.. *raises eyebrows* I would say regulars and people that are on their first dates. Because I’ve worked at “B” [Boulevardier] for almost 7 years now, I get people over and over who have been married many years and just had a baby and we are sitting at the same seats and it’s fun to bring that kind of magic to people’s evenings – get people laid!

Even on a busy Sunday afternoon, Tiffany will make the time to answer my silly questions and even write down a recipe!
Who is the non-bartender rendition of you?
Okay. For starters, I’m a mom, a wife. An event planner. And I’m very busy.
Can you make me laugh?
Probably. Ewwwww… um, let’s see.
It doesn’t have to be a joke.
But there was something that happened to me this weekend. It’s just taking me a minute to remember. I don’t’ know – let’s get back to that one too… it was probably really inappropriate so it’s probably better that way.

Can we do this again?
Us, hang out? Absolutely. Any time.
it's fun to bring that kind of magic to people's evenings - to get people laid!
Tiffany is probably one of the most straight-forward and earnestly chatty bartenders we know. She's quick to laugh, easy to engage, and constantly has her head on a swivel. And, who doesn't love someone who sees their job as a bartender as an opportunity to help get someone laid!

A Betty (by a broad definition) is honest and brave, loyal and nurturing, witty and fun. She's balanced, quirky, open-minded, complex, and flawed. She's soulful and driven. And I think there's a little Betty in all of us.
Someone once said "Who the hell is Chris Henley!?" Well, that's me. I'm Chris Henley. Therapist. Concoctionist. Humanitarian. Perpetual Optimist. Dog Lover. Cocktail Enthusiast. I'm a bit of a Jane-of-All-Trades with an affinity for creativity in the kitchen and a fascination with understanding people. I once made a girl a drink "that tastes like tennis" and my favorite bartenders have never met a stranger. I'm awed by people who can do things I can't and I know more dogs in my neighborhood than I do humans. Speaking of my neighborhood, if you catch me on my stoop I will invite you in for fresh baked goods or a dangerous cocktail.
