Rosey Sullivan, Armoury D.E.

Read the introduction first.

Crossword puzzles. A mug of something warm. Sleeveless tees (not shown here). And this red scooter. This is exactly what I think of when I think of Rosey Sullivan!
Where are you from?
I am from Miami, Florida.
But really, where are you from?
*cocks her head* What do you mean? I am from Miami. I grew up in the house that my father lived in, that my grandfather built. There are a lot of second generation families, good catholic people, which is not what people think about when they think of Miami but it's a real thing.

Rosey runs Armoury with seemingly no effort at all. Menus are always interesting and up to date, nothing is out of stock, guests pour in the doors, and the staff seems to have no complaints. My only question: what do you need all of those keys for?

Broke & Plum Bitter: 2 ounces Brokers Dry Gin, 0.5 ounce Lillet Blanc, 1 dash malic acid (1:1), 2 dashes plum bitters; stir, strain into chilled coupe, garnish with 2 cocktail onions on a bamboo skewer
What cocktail are you making today?
I have no idea.
Who makes the best bar guest?
Hmmmm.... *sighs* I think people that are just genuinely excited about drinking cocktails or learning more. Just kind of open to new experiences.
Who is the non-bartender rendition of you?
*smiles* non-bartender rendition of me... *glances off* I never think of defining myself in terms of other people. *shakes head* I'm trying to think of anyone. I think probably someone that is a lot like me is a teacher. That is my alternate path - somewhere along the way there was a decision that made me move away.
Can you make me laugh?
Probably not. *laughs heartily* Yeh. I can. I can tell you a dumb joke. There are two old men sitting on a park bench and the first man looks at the second and says, "boxers or briefs?" and the second replies, "depends"
Can we do this again?
Sure

Rosey gives us purposeful answers that are thoughtfully articulated and paint a picture about her past and present. But, if you're ever in a one on one conversation with Rosey you will totally adore her sensitive gazes, hilarious pauses, and ability to quickly smile when she's entertained by something. If you're fortunate enough to visit Armoury when she's behind the bar and the crowd isn't three deep be sure to ask for one of her bespoke cocktails.

A Betty (by a broad definition) is honest and brave, loyal and nurturing, witty and fun. She's balanced, quirky, open-minded, complex, and flawed. She's soulful and driven. And I think there's a little Betty in all of us.
Someone once said "Who the hell is Chris Henley!?" Well, that's me. I'm Chris Henley. Therapist. Concoctionist. Humanitarian. Perpetual Optimist. Dog Lover. Cocktail Enthusiast. I'm a bit of a Jane-of-All-Trades with an affinity for creativity in the kitchen and a fascination with understanding people. I once made a girl a drink "that tastes like tennis" and my favorite bartenders have never met a stranger. I'm awed by people who can do things I can't and I know more dogs in my neighborhood than I do humans. Speaking of my neighborhood, if you catch me on my stoop I will invite you in for fresh baked goods or a dangerous cocktail.
