We definitely enjoyed poking fun at New York, buy riffing the classic New York Sour and calling it a Fault Line Sour. And of course, on game 1, we "smoked" big red apples. All in good fun, of course!
Fault Line Sour 1.5 ounces Balcones Pot Still .75 ounces lemon juice .75 ounces simple syrup Shake. Pour into glass. Using a jigger, gently top with .5 ounces red wine.
to riff: egg white - without ice, in shaker tin, add first 3 ingredients plus egg white; shake vigorously. Then add ice and shake again. Pour into a glass and top with .5 ounces of red wine. bell pepper - overnight, infuse 2-3 quartered bell peppers with a mixture of 2 parts whisky, 1 part lemon juice, and 1 part simple syrup. After infusion is complete, shake 3 ounces with about 10-15 pieces of diced bell pepper and dump entire contents into glass. Garnish with sliced baby bell peppers.
